4-way arbitrage explained

A 4-way arbitrage covers a market with four possible results. These show up in markets such as some Asian handicap lines, grouped result markets, or four-bucket correct-score splits. With four outcomes there is more to balance, but the principle is identical: if the four best prices give a sum of inverses below 1, the profit is guaranteed.

How the stakes are balanced

The calculator computes V = 1/odd₁ + 1/odd₂ + 1/odd₃ + 1/odd₄, then divides your stake so each outcome returns the same payout. Enter all four odds above and adjust the amount — the per-bet stakes and profit update instantly.

Real 4-way markets

Four-outcome markets are less common than 1X2, but they turn up in:

  • Tennis correct set score (best-of-3): the four scorelines — Player A 2–0, A 2–1, B 2–1, B 2–0
  • Asian handicap quarter lines priced differently across bookmakers
  • Half-time/full-time partial groupings and four-band correct-score markets

Worked example (4 outcomes)

Best set-score prices across bookmakers: A 2–0 @ 3.50, A 2–1 @ 4.20, B 2–1 @ 4.50, B 2–0 @ 4.00. Then V = 1/3.50 + 1/4.20 + 1/4.50 + 1/4.00 = 0.286 + 0.238 + 0.222 + 0.250 = 0.996 — just under 1, so it's a (thin) surebet. Enter the four prices above and the calculator splits your stake so every scoreline returns the same profit.

When a market splits into four outcomes — for example certain Asian handicap lines, combined result groups, or four-way correct-score buckets across different bookmakers.
Is a 4-way arb harder to find?
They are rarer than 2-way or 3-way arbs, but they exist whenever the four best prices together give a sum of inverses below 1.
Can I mix bookmakers?
Yes. You will normally take each of the four prices from whichever bookmaker offers the most, then enter them all here.
