What is a Yankee?
A Yankee is a full-cover bet on four selections, combined into 11 bets:
- 6 doubles (every pair)
- 4 trebles (every trio)
- 1 four-fold accumulator (all four)
Crucially, a Yankee has no singles — so you need at least two winners before any return kicks in. That makes it cheaper than a Lucky 15 (which adds the four singles) but less forgiving if only one of your picks lands.

Worked example
Four selections, all at odds of 3.00, with a €1 unit stake (€11 total). If all four win:
- 6 doubles × €9 = €54
- 4 trebles × €27 = €108
- 1 four-fold × €81 = €81
- Total return = €243, a €232 profit on your €11 stake.
Set one selection to Lost and you still collect the three doubles and one treble formed by the remaining three winners — the calculator recalculates on the spot.

Frequently asked questions
- What is a Yankee bet?
- A Yankee is a bet on four selections combined into 11 bets: 6 doubles, 4 trebles and 1 four-fold accumulator. It does not include singles, so you need at least two selections to win before you see any return.
- How many bets are in a Yankee?
- 11 bets. A EUR1 unit stake therefore costs EUR11 in total (11 x EUR1).
- How many winners do I need in a Yankee?
- At least two. Because a Yankee has no singles, one winning selection returns nothing - you need two or more to complete at least one of the doubles.
- What is the difference between a Yankee and a Lucky 15?
- Both use four selections, but a Lucky 15 adds the four singles, making 15 bets, so one winner already returns money. A Yankee has 11 bets (no singles) and needs two winners. A Lucky 15 costs more but is safer.
- What is a Super Yankee?
- A Super Yankee (also called a Canadian) is the five-selection version: 26 bets made up of 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and 1 five-fold.
- Can I do an each-way Yankee?
- Yes - an each-way Yankee doubles the number of bets to 22 (11 for the win, 11 for the place), so it costs twice the unit stake. This calculator shows the win part; multiply the stake by two for an each-way version.
